Monument Cemetery is a non-profit, non-denominational, cemetery located in Edgewater Park, NJ. Our historic cemetery has been serving communities in New Jersey since 1865.
The Cemetery grounds are open for visitation from dusk to dawn, 7 days a week.
GARDEN OF HONOR FOR VETERANS
Monument Cemetery serves to honor our Nation’s military members and the sacrifices they have made to protect and make our Country the great land that it is.
There are no greater heroes than those whose names we see on the military stones throughout the grounds. It is for this reason that we have our “Garden of Honor” section.
Since the National Cemetery next door to us became full and stopped burials in approximately 1990, veterans were looking for a place to be laid to rest close to where they live.
In 1999 Monument Cemetery dedicated the “Garden of Honor”, and is opened to all veterans.
